This is a low profile bed similar to a Danish or contemporary platform bed. Heirloom quality — this is a masterpiece of design. German engineering at it’s best — only the nation that brought us Bauhaus could give us this gem. A breeze to put together. No flimsy dowels and particle board found in Danish platform beds. This package includes the side rails, foot board, head board, center rail and cross slats. Mattress and box springs not included. This bed is not a king bed as we know it today. The interior space is a little smaller than a contemporary king mattress. One must use two twins (as originally intended) or a custom mattress to fit this bed. Please take careful note of the dimensions listed below.
