Description
Pair of studio crafted industrial lounge chair by John Hoverson. The Moderondack black steel and curly maple lounge chairs are a one-of-a-kind creations from Hoverson’s Rossville, Georgia studio. The Moderondack, was inspired by two iconic designs: the sleek lines of the Mid-Century Modern and the classic deep slopes of the wooden Adirondack. Hoverson has combined the distinctive aesthetics by softening the excessively-deep seating angles of the Adirondack, kicking the rear legs out and keeping the low-profile of the MCM, and then extending the arm rests to create a rock-solid entry/exit platform. The merger of these elements creates an artistically styled profile that is shockingly comfortable to sit in. Don’t let the wood and steel fool you. This chair feels like it was built for you personally. Comfort is not an issue with this modern industrial chair. You will be the one and only owner of this first edition, steel and maple studio artist created chair.
We also have a single, first edition Moderondack chair in natural steel with a slight variation on the overall design (sold separately.)
These chairs are suitable for residential and commercial spaces. The chairs are designed for indoor, not outdoor use.
