Vintage 1960s modern art oil painting by American painter, Charlotte Smith. Oil on canvas, in a simple wood frame with gold trim. Here the artist depicts a sparse landscape of trees and knolls with a slight instance of grass. Almost Fauvist in the application of color with a bold red sky and ground. We have several of the artist’s paintings from this period. Smith focused on abstract compositions, abstracted still life and landscape paintings. The artist also worked in ceramics.
