Vintage Heywood Wakefield “Prophecy Group” high boy dresser with tambour doors. Super stylish, “Prophecy Group” is certainly one of the most intriguing of Wakefield’s collections. The soft lines of their earlier Art Deco inspired pieces are given some edge. Mid Century Modern influence can be seen in the space age profile. Top surface and right side have been refinished. Bold patterning in the wood grain is revealed after being hidden by patina for decades. Lift the accordion style doors to reveal at column of three drawers. The right side cabinet hosts a single interior shelf. Two wide and deep drawers reside at the bottom of the unit.
