Description
Huge textile art batik. White wood frame surrounds the piece allowing the eye to dance around the blues, reds, oranges, green and mustard hues. Primitive rendition of several faces and creatures. Perhaps a harvest or festival scene. Abstract geometric deconstruction of shapes is reminiscent of Picasso’s Cubist style. This piece invokes the aesthetic spirit of Picasso’s “Guernica.” Compelling focal point in any Mid Century Modern space. Unsigned. Likely vintage 1960s or 1970s.
