Description
Art Deco meets Mid Century Modern with this early 1950s era German cabinet. Appears to have been a stereo console modified to be a credenza. Etched glass sliding doors flanking the center appear to be original features. A single working light and interior shelf are housed in the center cabinet space. Left and right cabinets each hold a single glass shelf. The original German branding is hidden inside “Tonmobel.” This may be a Siemens predecessor. Beech wood cabinet is lined with gold trim. Such pride in the construction. Center doors have stylishly positioned opposing wood grains. Beautiful patina on the machine age asymmetric metal pulls. They simply do not make them like this anymore! Top surface is newly refinished.
