Description
Rare Mid Century Modern Broyhill Brasilia serving cart. 6140-76 tile top model designed by Oscar Niemeyer. This cart comes with the sought after, original, blue tiles. Top of the line for it’s era. This piece even bear’s the Good Housekeeping seal on the label inside a drawer. One of the tiles has been cracked and glued back together. We have another cart with all tiles in fantastic condition, see it here. Top surface of the cart has been professionally refinished. See the beauty of the half-century old walnut wood in its full glory. Use this as a bar or buffet. The tiles act as trivets, protecting the walnut wood from hot dishes. If using as a bar, tiles act as a water proof surface for mixing drinks. Two drop leaf extensions allow one to expand the top surface area. Retract the leaves for use in a compact space. Store liquor in the bottom cabinet, away from site. Three drawers up top provide lots of storage. Unit is finished on the back side as well (see photos). We also have a matching Brasilia dining table, credenza, dining chairs, double dresser, 2 commode cabinets, coffee table, mirrors, and china cabinet (sold separately).
