1970s Modern Walnut Console / Coffee Table

Description

Super practical 1970s era, late Mid Century Modern console table. This piece exemplifies the transition from Danish Modern of the 1950s-1960s to the more glam look pioneered in the 1970s by American designers. The walnut wood, clean-line shape is in keeping with Scandinavian modern. However, glitzy elements are added with the chrome pulls and detail on the legs. The boxy, masucline stature takes the place of former open-airy form of early modern. Solid walnut top, sides are walnut patterened laminate (Formica). Very functional, the doors slide the full length of the table. Finished on all four sides. Use this as a coffee table or entertainment center. Easily access components and media stashed behind the sliding doors. 3-panel black glass top adds a chic look. We have 3 matching end tables, sold separately.
