Experience the FMV Difference
Team FMV always gets a warm feeling when folks walk into our store and ask, “are these pieces new or vintage?” We happily reply, “they’re authentic vintage, but we restore nearly all of the pieces here. The rest is in excellent original condition.” It’s true, we love vintage and it shows in our product. Each piece that comes through our store gets the Furnish Me Vintage love down. The vast majority of the pieces we carry have been partially or completely restored by our team. This means refinishing the gorgeous decades old wood on our dining tables, credenzas, china cabinets, coffee tables and end tables. Most of our chairs and sofas are reupholstered, re-strapped with new webbing supports, and given new cushion foam if needed. We try to leave as much of the piece original as possible, this is why we only treat the damage that absolutely needs repair. In many cases, we’re able to make our restorations even more durable by addressing systemic design flaws that only reveal themselves after decades of use. If the piece needs love, we steam clean, re-set joints, scrub and oil original pieces to make sure that special find endures for many more years.
