Circa 1950s Hammock AX chairs by Danish designers Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard-Nielsen for manufacturer Fritz Hansen. Comfortable and sturdy featuring laminated beech wood frame with sling seats. The defining chair of the respective designer’s careers. This celebrated creation was featured in the 1951 “Good Design” exhibit sponsored by MoMA. Made by Fritz Hansen, this chair was first distributed in the U.S. by Herman Miller. The iconic, yet timeless Mid Century Modern chair would work well even with contemporary decor.
