Description
Beautifully restored set of eight Broyhill Brasilia dining chairs. Broyhill’s Brasilia collection is one of the most sought after lines of American furniture from the period. These chairs highlight the best design element of Brasilia, Oscar Niemeyer’s signature oblong arches. Oscar Niemeyer was an architect before he was a furniture designer. This collection for Broyhill emulated many of the forms he used to create the buildings of Brazil’s capital, Brasilia. This group of eight chairs has been lovingly restored. The set includes two armchairs and six armless side chairs.
This listing is one price for eight chairs. The dining table pictured is sold separately. We also have a credenza and room divider from the Broyhill Brasilia collection.
Delicately refinished to beautiful condition by our in-house restoration team. These chairs saw typical use over the years so the frames will still exhibit some imperfections throughout. They were detailed top to bottom and the patina has been preserved. Every seat has been professionally re-foamed and recovered in black faux leather material. Most importantly, each leg joint was spread, re-glued and clamp-set to ensure many more decades of rigidity.
