Pair of vintage James Mont style benches. Exhibiting the modernist Chinoiserie (Chinese influence) signature of Mont??s work. Both units are identical. Outfit them with cushions to use as benches. Otherwise use them as coffee tables. Ideal for placement at the foot of a bed, beneath a window or lining a foyer. Cylindrical legs are capped by aged brass colored rings. Half a century old walnut wood has garnered a rich red tinted patina. Beautiful wood grain enlivens the top surface.

Condition
Clean overall. Flaws can be seen on close examination (see photos). One foot cap looks to be a replacement.
