35.375″ Wide x 17″ Deep x 27.75″ High
The cabinet rests lightly on tapered legs, giving it an elevated, architectural presence that feels effortless from every angle. Its back is fully finished, a hallmark of superior Danish craftsmanship, allowing it to stand beautifully within a room rather than merely against a wall. Dovetail joinery and precise detailing underscore the quality of its construction, while the piece retains its original maker’s stamp from Lyby Mobler.
This versatile design works gracefully as a bedroom chest, entryway console, or living room storage piece. Its clean lines and enduring teak patina embody the timeless appeal that has made Danish Modern furniture a cornerstone of refined interiors.
This teak chest from our original shipment of four is offered in fair condition, measuring and remains on its original base. The drawer fronts present well overall, though close inspection reveals multiple period repairs, including large dents to the top and bottom front corners, veneer repairs along the lower drawer edge and side, and a rebuilt, color-matched handle. The top shows a pronounced water stain, likely from a potted plant, with open grain visible at certain angles, along with a dark dent at the front right corner, an in-painted burn-through at the back left, scattered scratches, and several deeper marks; the surface has been carefully steamed and sanded three times without over-restoration. Inside, the bottom drawer shows staining and minor veneer cracking, and the middle drawer bottom will be replaced due to poor condition.
