Remarkably well preserved nine‑piece modular sofa sectional from the late 1960s–1970s. The set includes seven standard modular chairs and two wedge‑shaped corner modules, offering a seemingly endless flexibility with your arrangement. Each module can stand alone as an accent chair, pair into intimate loveseats, sofas, or assemble into a sweeping curved sectional. The silhouettes echos iconic designs by Organic Modern master, Vladimir Kagan. Though the maker is unknown, the craftsmanship, proportions, and sculptural softness place it firmly in the lineage of high‑end 1970s design.
This sofa comes directly from the original owner, a Louisiana architect who commissioned it for his custom‑built home in 1967. It remained in his family for decades. The time capsule quality sofa was clearly cherished and used with care. Its condition today is a testament to that pride of ownership: the upholstery, foam, and structure are all outstanding, especially for a piece of this age.
Quentin Tarantino fans may recognize this sofa from the movie “Kill Bill.” Ours is not the sofa that was used in the film, but the same model was featured in one of the character’s home.
