Restored mid century modern teak credenza made by English company, White & Newton. Many features make this a truly outstanding piece. The dimensions make it especially unique coming in at just shy of 90″ long and 28.25″ high which is lower than the typical 30″ standard height. Looking down one can see that the top has a slightly bowed profile with the front edge protruding reaching out to a 17.5″ depth at it’s center peak. This is a design feature, not a flaw. Each of the cabinet doors open by folding to reveal the interior. Another defining feature is the u-shaped legs that deviate from the typical tapered Danish legs. With so many distinctive characteristics and it’s unusual size, this White & Newton piece stands out as a champion of mid-century modern design.
