Handsomely restored Mid-Century Modern Minerva sofa set designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla M??lgaard. This 20th century design gem features a loveseat and sofa daybed, each with a complementary arm rests, made of solid teak wood. Made for John Stuart Inc. circa 1950s. Maker’s emblem is present beneath seat. These are true daybeds. Remove the back bolster of the sofa, or and push the two pieces together, to transform this into a large, cozy and convenient bed. Peter Hvidt and Orla M??lgaard created many enduring and sought after modern designs to come from Scandinavia. This sofa set is an archetypal example of their mastery.
The set has new luxurious beige quilted upholstery, with covered buttons.
