Description
Mid century modern expressionist painting by California artist Gerald F. Brommer. Monochromatic field of grays and whites depicts a mountain top fortress or temple with a swirling mass below. This mass is amorphic. The viewer could take away an earthly impression of water or clouds moving through mountain boulders. Else, the mass could appear to be a spiritual force emanating from the building and flowing down the mountain. The image is both captivating and enigmatic. Signed “G.F. Brommer” at bottom.
