Description
Classic American Mid-Century Modern Drexel Projection double dresser. This dresser comes complete with it’s original matching mirror. The mirror is detachable. Use it with the dresser or elsewhere in your home. Designed by John Van Koert and produced from the late 1950s to the early 1960s. The architectural profile has hints of Art Deco filtered reimagined through a minimalist aesthetic. John Van Koert previously worked as a jewelry designer. His finesse can be seen the the careful consideration to form and detail. There are jewelry trays inside of the drawers as well as vertical dividers. The American walnut wood has aged beautifully on this piece, giving is a richness and depth that only comes with time. Projection is one of the more uncommon collection’s from Drexel of this period. Pieces seldom come to market. Do not miss your opportunity to own this special relic of American design. We have a matching king size headboard available, sold separately.

Condition:
The dresser is in good condition. The color & finish look very nice. The top has been refinished but has some “ghost” cup ring that only show when the light hits at a certain angle. We have tried to force the view in some photos. There are a few dent repairs. Each front leg has vertical hairline cracks (superficial, not cracked through). Some of the hardware has lost its color and is now more silver than gold. There is some minor wear to bottoms of legs. The drawers on the right side may have some slight darker discoloration.
