Description
Borge Mogensen early Mid-Century Modern Danish teak desk. The stately piece has a deep red-orange patina from over half a century of age. No press board composite material on this. It’s a mix of solid teak, and teak veneer over hardwood. We seldom find these early pieces these days. Maximize utility with this piece. It is simultaneously a bookcase and a desk! Draw the neatly stowed table top to create a surface large enough to host a laptop. The expanding table top is an especially useful feature. With it, your bookcase becomes a work station. These vertically oriented space savers are ideal for condo, apartment and cottage dwellers. The secretary desk also has spacious drawers at bottom. Artist’s and crafters can store supplies and work in these ample drawers. Opt to use the drawers to store office supplies, kitchen items or clothes in a live-work space!
Keep up appearances by concealing the center storage area behind the elegant tambour doors. The fluted tambour doors hide the drawers and vertical files at center. Keep your business, personal with this handy privacy solution. We have individual side chairs that would pair perfectly with this desk (sold separately).
