Description
Everyone here on team FMV adores this desk. We don’t know much (if anything) about the origin, maker or designer, but it’s awesome nonetheless. Similar to the Henredon “Scene Two” deco revival style from 1970’s, mixed with classic Modern. The trademark waterfall edges and heavy lacquer finish are reminiscent of the 1940’s art deco esthetics, with the exotic allure of burl maple and rosewood. The contrasting yet complimentary wood specimens elevate this desk above its peers. Behold the fiery, cathedral grain on the rosewood. This dazzling, repeating vertical pattern on the skirt was intentional and effective.
Beautifully finished on all sides and stunning from every angle. The flat-faced burl maple drawers with silver metal ball pulls, provide adequate storage while remaining sleek and sexy. The construction, fit and finish are second to none.
We also have a pair of matching curved side tables (sold separately).
63” Wide x 31 1/8” Deep x 31.5” High
Very good condition. Desk appears to have newer coat of heavy, clear lacquer finish. The age appropriate imperfections are locked under the new finish.
