Asian inspired Chinoiserie black and burl wood expanding bar cart server. Dorothy Draper style campaign server bar cart on casters made by esteemed US furniture maker Century circa 1970s. Old growth flaxen flared grain olive burl from top to bottom, front and back. Beautifully finished on all four sides. Black lacquer accents and Ming style brass pull hardware tie together British traditional and Eastern design. The burl doors presented tastefully to demonstrate a delicate ornate sensibility. Interior cabinet space offers heaps of open storage. Large, flip-over, hinged wood panels open to reveal a 59.5″ textured black laminate surface ideal for food or beverage service. The laminate top looks as if it was rarely used. Between the top and cabinet space is one long drawer that adds yet another dash of style and practicality. No composite or MDF anywhere on this campaign server / bar. Century used a combination of solid hardwood interiors, solid fruitwood and veneers.

Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Very good overall vintage condition. Detailed top to bottom. Flip-top sections look great and the hinges work perfectly. Only minor imperfections remain.
