Collectors will recognize these names as Ole Wanscher is one of the most sought after names in Danish Modern design. This loveseat size sofa from maker France & Daverkosen exhibits keen Scandinavian styling with seamless joints and transitions. The sofa has been updated with new luxury fabric and foam. Look closely to see a harmonious weave of earthy red tones. The settee has all of its original support bands beneath the seat. France & Daverkosen was one of the most esteemed furniture makers of the mid-century modern Scandinavian school. Hans J. Wegner, Grete Jalk, Finn Juhl, and Peter Hvidt have all created fabulous pieces for France & Daverkosen. Although the dark appearance looks like walnut, the sofa is actually made of beech wood.
