Description
Early 1950s Mid Century Modern credenza sideboard by celebrated designer Edward Wormley for Dunbar. Maker’s mark labeled on the bottom of one of the drawers. Bleached mahogany wood with painted white interior and brown painted sliding doors. This piece came to us in total shambles. It had been pickled and covered in some sort of crackling wax finish. We restored it to it’s original wood finish on the top, sides and drawer fronts. The interior was given a more dramatic glossy white paint finish. The woven fronts were painted a high key brown to compliment the warm mahogany wood. The original metal rods were all hand polished to their original luster. Amazing amount of storage with several drawers and shelves inside the unit. A wonderful showpiece for your vintage 20th Century furniture collection.
