Designed by Egon Ostergaard of Sweden, this is one of the finest teak secretary desk’s that we’ve come across in a while. Practicality and Swedish elegance at it’s best. The honey color, contrasting tones, match pattern grain drawer fronts and parquet inlay design are only a few of the attributes worth mentioning. The quality is unmatched by similar units of the same vintage. Roll up the intricate geometric inlay top and pull the tabletop for ample desk space. Inside reveals open cubbies and three small pull-out drawers. Three drawers at bottom with carved teak pulls provide further storage. Both the the roll-top and top drawer lock. Original key is included with purchase.
There’s a couple of these available out there but none in this excellent condition. Our restoration team performed a relatively passive rehabilitation because this beautiful, honey colored secretary was already in very good condition. We were able to mitigate nearly every minor imperfection and follow up with a professional detailing that has elevated it to a condition that your home deserves.
