Description
Refinished early mid century modern Scandinavian teak dining table. Unmarked but of remarkable quality and design. Likely vintage late 1950s or early 1960s. The teak has aged to a rich brown that could easily be mistaken for walnut. The thin blade like table top joins to beautifully turned solid teak legs. The leg structure is enhanced with elegant diagonally positioned spanners. The underside of the table is just as beautiful as the top — evidence of superior craftsmanship. This is an expanding table with two accompanying leaf inserts. A small narrow oval when compact. Add one or both leaves to extend the table to a wider, longer oval.
