Original David Weidman (June 28, 1921 – August 6, 2014) signed serigraph entitled “Bamboo.” The image features a series of birds in bamboo. The tritone print is composed in dijon yellow, burnt orange, and green hues. Neatly bound with a pale yellow matte with burnt orange matte trim. “Bamboo” is signed in pencil with the artist’s name and title. The famed artist worked as an animator early in his career on “Mr. Magoo” and “Popeye” amongst others. David Weidman reached legendary status later in his career when interest in all things Mid-Century Modern drove collectors to his iconic silkscreen prints. You may have spotted his work on “Mad Men.” This Weidman piece is beautifully framed and ready to take center stage in your collection.
