Funky fun and futuristic. Space age white plastic mold injection design made famous by legendary designers Raymond Loewy and Joe Colombo. Like Loewy, Futorian Manufacturing employed the futuristic use of color and materials in a way that had rarely been seen before. The bright yellow lemon candy shell tufted vinyl / faux leather captures the playful spirit of the 1970s. Also known as Decorian chairs, these are increasingly more than just nostalgia bombs, they’re a serious and respected part of design history.
Two loose cushion for each chair with a new, removable piece of 2″ foam seat inserts. Plastic chair shells rest on top of vinyl wrapped tubular bases. The frames shells have the option of being screwed to the bases or simply rested on top.
Please take note that (1) chair has a repaired crack on the right arm. Our restoration team re-enforced the most the vulnerable section by riveting in a custom made metal bracket. The remainder was fused with Bondo, sanded and painted.
