Description
Absolutely massive, midcentury Scandinavian Modern Danish teak credenza by Gunni Oman for Axel Christensen Odder Mobler. Made in Denmark, vintage 1960s, teak wood construction. This cabinet as a prime example of expert Scandinavian cabinet making with carved pull sliding doors that operate with ease. Glide these doors to the left or right to reveal the interior space. The column of Arne Vodder style felt-lined drawers are proudly displayed and flanked by the solid teak pulls that resemble medieval swords.
There is no want for storage in this extra long teak credenza. The left and rights sides have an open space with a single, removable or adjustable height teak shelf. Signature Danish styling here with sculpted. tapered edge banding. Ideal for use as an entertainment console or sideboard buffet.
Please take note: Although the sliding doors looks amazing, we actually replaced one of the doors. This credenza originally had a single door with a carved lip style pull (unlike the sword style) that cracked off. We harvested (2) sword style pulls from another Oman credenza and created a replacement door that looks even better than the original (in our opinion). Not only did our restoration team do an amazing job detailing this Danish teak bookcase, but they restored the top and mitigated nearly all the flaws on top. Only very minor imperfections remain.
