Refinished Heywood Wakefield dining set with expanding dining table and six dining chairs. This entire set was lovingly restored by our in-house cabinet shop. There’s a rich, deep, aged honey patina on this wheat finish birch / maple. We achieved a near perfect muted grain and color match to the top surface of the table that we delicately restored. This sleek, study, understated and classic modern extending Heywood Wakefield dining table embraces mid-century minimalism design. Sculpted, and assembled with no visible hardware, the table includes two leaf extensions (up to 90″) allowing one to customize the length. Made sturdy when expanded by use of a fifth leg beneath the center of the table. The legs demonstrate a distinctive wedge / blade shaped that compliments the elegant Art Deco inspired contoured profile. We’re certain you won’t find a more sublime vintage rendition of this dining table anywhere. Stamped by the maker.
Set of six restored Mid-Century Modern Heywood Wakefield M1553A dining chairs. The “Cat’s eye” dining chairs feature a distinctive inverted double-bow back rest. This arched motif resembles the shape of a cat’s eye, hence the nickname. Our chairs have been worked by our restoration team to remove years of wear on the signature arches and arm rests. The seats have all been updated with new upholstery. The fabric choice speaks to the period. The earth tone fabric lies somewhere between burnt orange and brown with subtle golden highlights. The neutral fabric compliments the wheat finish on the wood. The set includes two arm chairs and four side chairs. All solid wood, American made… timeless quality that keep’s collectors coming back to Heywood Wakefield. We have several pieces from this collection including and extra seventh chair (sold separate).
