It’s difficult to walk past this chair and not smile. At a glance, the look might seem familiar, but we assure you, there is nothing common about this enigmatic pod chair. The tulip base is labeled Hong Stole, but we’ve never seen any pod chairs by that maker. Our research came up with nothing. Made in Denmark, this fiberglass frame pod chair looks like an Overman, but the teak arms, tulip base and shape of the back are very unique. Restored to excellent condition. Professionally recovered in Knoll wool fabric by our in-house upholsterer. New seat foam and refinished arms finish off the job. We kept the base untouched to retain the lovely marbled patina. No oxidation corrosion on the base, just vintage charm.
