Description
We are calling this piece a painting as shorthand… the truth is, it’s so much more! The eye doesn’t know where to begin or where to end in this visual wonderland. “All Angles” was created by George Caso for CHRISHAWN Studios. The piece is a magnificent melange of Memphis style abstract elements. Caso has somehow managed to command multiple mediums and techniques into one harmonious composition in the same way a musician harnesses the diverse sounds of a band. The aesthetic impact is amplified by it’s monumental scale. The piece is over 6.5 feet long and over 4 feet high! The artwork consists mostly of painted, gold and silver leafed, cut paper arranged on canvas.. however that is a simplified explanation. Luckily, Caso and CHRISHAWN provided some text about the work on the backside. Here is their word-for-word description (including unusual punctuation and capitalizations.) This piece is housed in a gold colored metal frame and acrylic pane protecting the art. There is a wire on back to hang.
