Enormous, rare, executive desk. Designed by MIT educated, American architect Gordon Bunshaft. Vintage 1950s. Time capsule piece in outstanding original condition. Large main desk is a white laminate top resting on a steel frame. Aluminum mesh adorns the back side. Left side of the desk is outfitted with tubular cables. Storage is provided by two hearty aluminum drawers. Deep file drawer is fully functional and comes in quite handy. Top drawer features trays for office supplies. An extension table emerges from the left side of the desk. This table is removable, just unscrew. A masterpiece of American Mid Century design. Bunshaft’s bold design exhibits an enthusiasm for the machine age. He masterfully and creatively employs materials in ways never seen before. An investment quality show piece for your Mid Century Modern office.
