Description
We purchased this John Keal bar / server from the original estate and can say without hesitation that you won’t find a more pristine set anywhere. The Florida waterfront home was a veritable living catalog for Brown-Saltman. Please look close at our photos when comparing your options. The cerused mahogany looks outstanding and has been masterfully and subtly restored. The key to any restoration is making improvements without making it look as though anything has been done. This cabinet now looks like a museum installation, but yet our price is in-step with similar offerings in lower grade conditions.
This John Keal Bar for Brown-Saltman is made of mahogany wood and features a spacious interior. Grasp the gracefully sculpted solid wood pulls to reveal the ample interior. Look to the upper left corner and see a column of three articulating rings. These rings can hold bowls with garnishes. Hang glassware on the pullout hooks located in the top right interior. Wide shelves are ideal for storing bottles. The cabinet is low enough so that the top can be used as a preparation / serving surface. A single drawer resides at the base of the bar. If you are a fan of John Keal or Brown-Saltman let us know. We have several gorgeous pieces of Brown-Saltman that all came from the same source. Consider adding dining furniture or occasional tables to your collection.
