Elegant end tables / nightstands by John Stuart of New York. The esteemed manufacturer uses a duo-tone presentation often seen in Chinoiserie furniture. However, here we have a minimalist take on the Far-East aesthetic that harmoniously blends Oriental style with mid-century modern disciplines. The main portion of these stately little commodes is beautifully figured walnut. The dark brown outer trim frame out the chests and continue seamlessly downward into the base and legs. The contrast in hues, grain and opacity are absolutely captivating. The modern tempering of traditional elements is reminiscent of pieces by Michael Taylor. We also have a matching king headboard sold separately. The matching nightstands bear both the John Stuart and Mount Airy company logos.
