Description
Large mid century modern painting. Signed “Valenti” for Vanguard Studios (label on back side). Monotone field of white and shades of gray. This is a mixed media piece with oil paint over rope and strips of burlap on canvas. The textured areas are painted burlap. The image appears to be a deconstructed representation of the sun over the horizon. The web of ropes emanating from the central orb imitate the sun’s rays. The bands of burlap and paint span the composition as though they are forming a simplified landscape. The painting is housed in a minimalist brushed nickel frame.
