5-piece, masterfully restored mid-century modern Lucite acrylic dining set. Let’s start with the four Erwine & Estelle Laverne Champagne Chairs in clear acrylic. Beautifully restored with a new gloss white paint job on the bases. Acrylic has been cleaned and buffed to very good condition. Only minor superficial scratches still remain. The chairs were completely disassembled for detailing and put back together tight and secure. Newer powder blue microfiber material seats are secured with new Velcro and look lovely against the clear acrylic.
The table is exceptional. We’ve never seen anything like and have yet to realize who designed it. Two independent sections of (28) acrylic tube-like pipes are stacked and bolted together into tight columns. Face them together to form a circle, pull them apart to make a gap oval or place them back to back. Any way positioned, these bases can support a massive piece of glass. The table pairs beautifully with the Laverne Champagne Chairs. We have this set staged with a 3/8″ x 48″ glass top, but it can accommodate much more. Glass top has age appropriate scratches (no chips).
