Description
These chairs are unmarked, other than the original paper tags from the retailer who sold them. We’re almost certain these are Lawrence Peabody. The angles, contours, sculpting and of course the horseshoe bow back that extend to form the arms are also very similar to the works of Peter Hvidt and Ib Kofod-Larsen. Every inch of this chair is steeped in thoughtful design and constructed with the precision of a true craftsperson.
Excellent overall vintage condition. Walnut frame has been delicately restored by our in-house cabinet shop. New, period appropriate green woven fabric. New support webbing. Small Section of repaired cane. Joints have been glued and clamped to ensure decades of stability.
