This spectacular chess table set is one of a kind! The game board is a magnificent creation of checkerboard pattern macassar ebony and teak wood. The striped ebony is absolutely stunning and is tempered by the honey colored teak. The perimeter of the table top is decorated with an ebony border. This unique table is a marriage of and authentic vintage chessboard AND a mid-century modern table base. We updated made this exotic hardwood chess set into a functional piece of furniture. The ebony and teak chessboard was originally hand-crafted in Indonesia in the 1970s.
The sculptural base is cast aluminum in it’s natural metal tone and matte black on the sides of the arches.
This standing chess set comes complete with all gaming pieces. The monumental gaming pieces are carved of solid ebony and teak.
The table has been professionally refinished by our in house restoration team.
