A spectacular Art Deco inspired mirror from the Marquis Collection of Beverly Hills, this monumental piece embodies the glamour and sculptural artistry for which the brand is renowned. Measuring approximately 31½ in. (80 cm) wide × 30 in. (76 cm) deep × 72 in. (183 cm) high, it commands presence—transforming a simple wall into an architectural statement.
The frame and pyramid base are clad in a tessellated stone or shell mosaic, each segment meticulously hand-cut and polished to form a surface alive with tonal variation. Shades of cream, sand, and buff mingle with delicate fossil-like markings, producing a natural, luminous texture that shifts with changing light. The carved pyramid base anchors the design, its geometry contrasting elegantly with the organic irregularity of the inlaid surface.
No heavy varnish or lacquer dulls the material—each plane is sanded and buffed by hand, allowing the natural polish of stone and shell to radiate warmth and depth. Subtle fissures and tonal variations are intrinsic to the material and affirm its authenticity and artisan construction.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minor age-appropriate surface variations inherent to natural stone. Structurally sound and visually striking. There is one small dark spot on the mirror. The back of the mirror has a mark where tape ripped off the white paint.
