Description
There is something quintessentially 70’s about this Martin Visser Lounge Chair & Table set beyond the mix of elements and design. There’s an understated swanky coolness in the DNA. The comfort level here is off the charts, and this soft, teddy-bear fabric only makes them more cozy. The electric “wavelength” pattern style fabric adds to the boldness of these enigmatic lounge chairs. The tubular chrome and wicker cube frames are perfectly contrasted with the plushness of the fabric. We endeavored to find the appropriate upholstery for these chairs, and the final product looks stunning. The fabric has variations in tones that change according to your vantage point. The nap can lay in one direction or another and appear brown, copper, gold, tan and many variations in between. These cantilever armchairs have far more charm and detail than can be appreciated in these photos. Sexy from every angle.
Each chair comes with a matching end table that could also be used as an ottoman. Designed by Martin Visser for Spectrum circa 1970s.
THE RESTORATION: Both chairs and tables were disassembled so the cane and chrome could be repaired and restored. Metal chair decking was cleaned and re-painted. Seats and backs were professionally restored by our in-house upholsterer . Some oxidation and imperfections still remain on cane and chrome.
