Super atomic Mid Century Modern vintage lounge chair. This piece originally came to us outfitted in tattered orange tweed upholstery, and missing it’s cushions. What you see is a complete restore with all new satiny high quality fabric, and new cushion foam. Absolutely no odors or pet hair here. Sputnik era inspired upholstery gives a futuristic Jetsons feel without getting kitschy. Unique yellowish honey colored fabric with beige and brown threads creating the pattern. This is a chameleon chair. It will lean toward whatever color you place next to it. Neighboring colors will influence the tones brought out in the chair’s upholstery. Place it next to browns, it will look more beige, greens will bring out the yellow and olive tones. The satiny texture of the fabric feels lovely against the skin — not course or itchy like typical retro textiles. Nicknamed geometric Joe, after our stellar upholsterer. Note the triangular, fighter jet styled arms. The triangular pattern on the fabric mimics this blade like shape.
