Description
A sculptural mid-century armchair closely following Hans Wegner’s celebrated 1949 Round Chair design. The curved crest rail sweeps continuously into the arms, joined at the back with exposed finger joinery, and turned, gently tapered legs carry the solid oak frame with the light, open stance characteristic of the form. A floating black upholstered seat sits within the frame for contrast. The oak has a warm, patinated finish consistent with age and use.
Vintage, mid-20th century. Not attributed to Johannes Hansen or PP Møbler and bears no maker’s mark; offered as a period reproduction of the design rather than an authenticated Wegner production piece.
Condition: very good, with a small surface dent to one arm. No other notable wear.
