Description
We are pleased to present the rare Fiber Foam sofa made by Homecrest. Our restoration team has fully refreshed the piece with new wool Knoll upholstery and professionally repainted white fiberglass frame. Originally intended for indoor use… but the fiberglass frame will hold up against the weather. Use this restored vintage 1960s sofa indoors or outdoors. The violet fabric is an indoor wool fabric by Knoll. Place snacks, remotes or rest on the ample arms that double as side tables. There is truly no end the power packed personality of this versatile sofa.
From the original Homecrest catalogue:
Beautifully molded in one piece, Homecrest Fiber Foam furniture provides new decorating excitement.
The bright lustrous finish of this beautiful furniture is provided by the polyester gel coat backed by strength-giving layers of fiberglass impregnated with polyester resin. A steel frame is then secured around the inside perimeter and interior is then sprayed with a 3/8” layer of rigid polyurethane foam. Bases are made of square tubular steel and finished with white baked-on acrylic enamel.
