Heavily textured harbor scene with the city skyline reflecting off the water in brilliant yellows, oranges, and blues. An arched bridge sits in the foreground with a hint of the cityscape in the background. A large moon looms over the tranquil setting. Strong tones of ochre, green, and amber set the tone of the image. Signed by the artist, Van Hoople (b. 1934), in the lower right hand corner. A graduate of University of Texas, Van Hoople formerly worked as a set designer for Paramount Studios. Set in wood frame with gold finish.
