Description
Model 1400 Lotte table lamp in celadon crackle glaze. The lamp comes complete with their iconic roped shades. We believe the glaze finish is the celadon color, but that has not been confirmed. The lamps are a light gray color with just a hint of blue. Look closely to admire the original crackle glaze. The vintage lamp has been tested and is fully operational.
These fine, distinctive lamps were originally produced by husband and wife team Gunnar and Lotte Bostlund. The couple left their native Denmark to settle in upstate New York where they began producing their lamps in the 1950s. By the early 1960s their son, Morten, had developed the rope covered fiberglass shade which has become the defining feature of these collectible art lamps. In 1983 the model 1400 was developed along with a host of other new models.
