37.25″ Square Mid-Century Modern painting by “Myra.” Are you a glass half full or glass half empty person? Depending on your perspective, you may see this as a sunrise or a sunset. I’m an optimist so I’m going with sunrise. The minimalist geometric composition has a soothing palette of gray-blue in the sky surmounted by a pale yellow. Rainbow-like bands of olive green, dijon yellow and burgundy surround the yellow impasto sun. The horizon is formed by a thickly impasto painted yellow band with burgundy and chocolate brown layers implying land. The canvas painting is housed in a dark brown wood frame with chrome trim.
