Description
The heart pine wood that was sourced for this top, was salvaged from a WWII era army barracks building in Dayton, TN. It was used as a residence hall for researchers from the University Tennessee Knoxville during the 1960s-1970s. We paired it with a custom made, George Nakashima style base that was crafted by one our employees a few years ago. We’ve been waiting for the perfect top to come along and complete the marriage.
Exceptional heart of pine slab coffee table with natural live edge. This table is a distinctly modern spin on they typical rustic slab. Notice how the top surface consists of contrasting wood tone planks that are staved together to create an artistic effect. The rustic top is harmonized with the modern aesthetics of this Nakashima inspired base.
