Description
There is something serene about this simple still life of two Native American pottery vessels. Perhaps it is the hypnotic harmony of the botanical and geometric patterns that soothes the viewer. Maybe the earthy burnt orange, crimson, and wheat colors warm the audience. Amidst all that earthy soul are the effervescent brush strokes surrounding the pots. A refreshing swash of aqua blue eludes to another element, water. This oil painting is signed, “Anderson,” vintage 1970s.
