Elaborately embossed Hollywood Regency lamps by Loevsky & Loevsky. Loevsky & Loevsky, also known as L&L WMC, was based in New Jersey during the mid-20th Century. These extraordinary lamps feature Baroque inspired stamped patterns throughout the brass-hued metal surfaces. The designer used every element in his bag of tricks to make these lamps sparkle. They look as though Liberace was the art director. Filigree covers nearly every bit of the surface except for areas that have a lace-like pattern. Iridescent plastic gemstones are mounted to stamped metal shields with a leather-like pattern. There are two tiers of lights on these lamps. A single, standard light bulb sits atop the lamp. A group of four lightbulbs is hidden beneath the mid-section. This space-ship like second tier acts as a diffuser for the lights beneath. Watch the gemstones radiate with lights once the second tier is lit. You have the option of lighting the top and bottom lights or isolating each. These lamps have a truly magical presence. The original pleated, sheer, black fabric shades add a supreme level of grandeur. The lamp shades are included with purchase. Each lamp features a disc of black Italian marble at the base.
