Pair of exceptionally well crafted mid century modern lounge chairs. Vintage 1950s, custom created in a Miami studio for a prominent South Florida physician. Both arm chairs have been restored with new luxurious cream colored velvet upholstery. Bases are gently sculpted solid walnut in clean original finish. The dense seats sit firm with the bowed backs comfortably cradling the occupant’s back. Subtle details make these chairs special. See how the front edge of the seat curves inward mimicking the curve in the back. Front legs angle outward slightly while the rear legs reach backward to create just the right pitch. These characteristics are hallmarks of quality construction and design.
